African Dusky Flycatcher

Muscicapa adusta

The African Dusky Flycatcher is a small greyish-brown bird that is normally seen sitting quietly on a suitable perch on the edge of a bush or tree.

They are found in a variety of habitats including woodland, gardens, forest edges and riverine forest.

These Flycatchers are smallish birds with a length of 13 cm and a weight of 11 grams.

The African Dusky Flycatcher pairs for life. They nest in a hole in a tree and will re-use the nest year after year.
